Linda E. Jones
Linda was born and raised in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York and has been a practicing artist since 1977. Growing up next to the woods and a brook in which to explore greatly influenced her work and fed her ongoing conversation with nature. In addition to this, her father was a commercial artist and worked out of a studio at home. A studio where she could also explore her budding artistic tendencies.
Throughout the years travels to Haiti, Morocco, Scotland, Thailand, Egypt, Nepal, and some of Nepal's more remote regions near the Tibetan border, have greatly influenced her work.
While her focus is primarily painting (oil, encaustic and mixed materials), she also works in other mediums and dimensions including art installations. Linda has widely exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the US and is represented in both private and public collections in the US and abroad.
She received her BFA in painting and lithography in 1980 from Antioch College in Yellow Springs Ohio.
